Suzie Roberts, Managing Director, VCCP Sydney
Sean started with VCCP London in 2013, initially under a freelance contract as an art worker, and then permanently as a studio manager a few years later. He joined the Sydney office in 2015, when he moved back home, where he has held the role of Head of Studio. He is well respected and affectionately regarded in both offices.
Sean wears two hats. He's a very experienced artworker and studio manager, with an exemplary work ethic and excellent attention to detail. He inspires absolute confidence in both his colleagues and clients. A problem-solver and the safest pair of hands! Sean has also led all our IT implementation and support in Sydney. This is a significant challenge with demanding global protocols and Sean has managed it all effectively and seamlessly.
But perhaps the most outstanding attribute of Sean is that he is just a pleasure to work with, and to have as part of the team. He is a culture-builder and a really good person, willing to support his colleagues - he will turn his hand to anything to get the task completed, and I have never once heard an angry word or a complaint. "Ask Seany" is probably the most well-worn phrase in the lexicon of VCCP Sydney.
I would not hesitate recommending Sean and would be delighted to talk with you further if you require any further information.
Conrad Young, Head of Studio, VCCP London
Sean Davitt worked in the VCCP (London) Studio for eight years (until November 2012). He started off an artworker and stepped up first as Assistant Studio Manager and then Studio Manager.
As an artworker, Sean was meticulous and highly skilled, spotting problems where others would miss them and producing perfect artworks to tight deadlines. His manager Louise, relied heavily on his attention to detail and knowledge of client brands and he was promoted to Assistant Studio Manger. When she left, it was and easy decision to promote him to Studio Manager, where he he excelled, working really hard to produce first-rate work and managing to keep everybody happy in the process.
We were really sorry to lose him when he left for the sunny side of the world and replacing has been a hard slog.
Jonathan McGhee, Senior Designer, VCCP London
Working with Sean was always a pleasure. His positive attitude and endless stories make for a fantastic addition to any team/studio. Projects, staff and expectations were meticulously managed. With a keen eye for organisation and attention to detail, the project is delivered to the highest standard.
I heartily recommend Sean and would be only too happy to work with him again.
Stephen Peaple, Director, Agency Fish London
Sean joined Fish in 1999 as an Artworker in an expanding, multi-disciplined studio. He very quickly proved that his attention to detail, which is an integral part of his work, was not only imposed on all projects that went through his hands but that with each job there was a high level of transparency of his operating procedures.
His initiative and willingness to ensure that the studio was running smoothly ensured that Sean in just two years, went onto become Senior Artworker/Studio Manager. Sean provided us with consistently excellent print ready artwork across a wide variety of media such as promotional and corporate literature, annual reports & accounts, exhibition display panels, magazines, worldwide advertising and corporate guidelines.
Sean excels in his role as makes sure he is accountable for any project once it is in his hands. he will liaise with suppliers, staff and clients where appropriate, raise purchase orders, job numbers, ensure the job is references correctly on the server, back up the works after production and, perhaps the most rare of all commodities, fill in his timesheet impeccably. It was standard that if anyone would need a job number for current or past works, then Sean could shout this off the top of his head.
I have no hesitation whatsoever in highly recommending Sean as he is a considerable asset which will make a difference to the profitability and accountability of projects.
